HUE Colours

Each colour released to date represents a phase in the hue life cycle - representing the journey from seed to harvest.

🤎 Hauhake 1 & 2 - One (Soil)
Planting the seed in the soil

💚 Hauhake 3 - Tipu (Sprout)
New growth pushing through

🤍 Hauhake 4 - Pua (Flower)
Flowers blooming before the hui fruit forms

Just as the hue plant follows this natural progression, we hope that your HUE Bottle reminds you that the journey to wellbeing takes time and patience. Each part of the journey has its own purpose, and we're here for all of it.

Our Materials

HUE Bottle is designed to be transparent, allowing visibility of water levels to support our mission of encouraging healthy habits and increasing the visibility of te reo Māori.

Crafted from BPA-free Tritan plastic, Tritan is free of harmful chemicals. It's made without:

  • Bisphenol compounds like BPA and BPS
  • Phthalates, halogens, and chlorine
  • Estrogenic and androgenic activity

While we currently use BPA-free tritan plastic, we acknowledge its impact on the environment. We are actively researching more sustainable alternatives, with a commitment in place to transition our bottles to taiao-friendly materials by 2027 or earlier if we are able to. In the meantime, we hope your HUE supports you to reduce single-use plastic bottles.

Taiao Initiative Fund

We’re committed to supporting sustainability initiatives in Aotearoa. A portion of all HUE Bottle sales goes towards our Taiao Initiative Fund, which supports non-profits and organisations who are working to protect Papatūānuku.

We plan to begin distribution in our second year of operations and will publish updates on this fund to ensure transparency.
